The General Chapter officially opened earlier this month with the Phase
One meeting of the Redemptorist Conference of Africa & Madagascar in
Nairobi, Kenya. Special thanks to Fr. João Pedro Fernandes, General
Consultor, for sharing a photo of some of those who gathered for the meeting
(above, left to right): Fr. Anthony Orji, the Vice Province of Nigeria’s vocal
representative to the Conference Assembly; Provincial Superior Stephen
Rehrauer of the Denver Province, an author of the Working Document;
Fr. Guy-Arnaud Agbossaga, Coordinator of the Conference of Africa
& Madagascar; General Consultor Vicar Enrique López; Superior General
Michael Brehl; Vice Provincial Kingsley Onyekuru of the Vice Province of
Nigeria; and Fr. João Pedro.
Each of the five Redemptorist Conferences will hold a similar meeting
before the General Chapter convenes in October.
