Provincial Assembly of Redemptorist Missionaries in Mexico

From Tuesday 18 to Thursday 20 May 2021, the Provincial Assembly in Mexico was held online in a fraternal and joyful atmosphere. The reflection of these three days was led by the Justice and Peace Commission, coordinated by Fr. Leonardo Moctezuma Mora. Leonardo Moctezuma Mora. The theme revolved around raising awareness of one of our provincial targets: the migrants.

During this time, we learned about the Justice and Peace Commission project in favour of service to migrants. The speakers, including Redemptorist confreres, lay people involved in this ministry, priests from other religious congregations and government officials, made us aware of what it means to serve our brothers and sisters migrating. We also had time to reflect on what we had received and to listen to each other among the confreres.

This Provincial Assembly was a time of great richness for the Redemptorists living in Mexico. God, in the person of our migrant brothers, is knocking at our doors. There is still a path ahead of us, from our Redemptorist charism, towards the wounded world of migration.
