Together in mission: The value of partnership

(Krakow, Poland) Redemptorists and lay leaders and representatives of communities from all over Poland met from 25 to 27 June 2021 in Krakow, Poland, for the conference “Together in Mission”. More than 30 people from communities collaborating or interested in this networking were present.

Previous meetings were conducted online. Therefore, the first day of the conference was a time for integration and getting to know each other, both the individuals and the communities represented: Sursum Corda (Krakow, Warsaw, Zakopane, Jordanów), Missionary Team East, New Life (Elbląg), Niosąca Ducha (Gliwice), Pieśń Nowa (Toruń), Obfite Odkupienie (Wrocław).

During the conference, the general guidelines of the programme “Together in Mission” were presented. The formation programme of the second year, “Growth: disciple-missionary”, was also presented. It is nine conferences with the following themes: Personal development of the disciple-missionary; The Word of God in the life of the disciple-missionary; The values of the disciple-missionary; Liturgy and the worship of God; Power is made perfect in weakness; Service; The Holy Spirit – zeal; Evangelization – witnessing and making disciples; Apostolic community evangelised and evangelizing.

In response to the needs of those who have completed the first year of formation, a notebook of personal work was prepared. As a fruit of the common experiences, a training course for small group hosts was also developed.

An important part of the meeting was also the spiritual dimension. On Saturday afternoon, the participants went on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of St John Paul II. Then in the evening, the meeting participants entrusted themselves and their mission to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

The project “Together in Mission” is coordinated by the Secretariat for Cooperation in Mission of the Warsaw Province of the Redemptorists.
