The Redemptorists of the Vice-Province of Manaus in Brazil met for their annual Assembly last week, from November 14 to 17. Two confreres from the Province of Campo Grande and one confrere from the Province of Porto Alegre joined them at Crostarosa Retreat Center outside of Manaus, Amazonas. Discussions included the eventual merger of the three entities – the Vice Province of Manaus and the Provinces of Campo Grande and Porto Alegre – and the November 19th opening of the 80th jubilee year of the arrival of the first Redemptorists in Manaus, which occurred in July of 1943.
