The 4th Vice Provincial chapter of the Vice Province of Majella, Mumbai, was held from the 10th to the 17th of December at Dasya, Porvorim, Goa in India. The chapter began with Fr. Edward Joseph, the Provincial Superior of the Bangalore Province, conducting a day of Recollection. Fr Jovencio Ben Ma, the Asia Oceania conference coordinator, also attended and assisted us at the chapter presenting the plan for Reconfiguration in the Conference of Asia Oceania with special reference to the Confederation of India. In all, we were 43 delegates for the chapter, including two student observers (seminarians).
During the chapter, the new leadership team for the Vice Province was elected. Fr Henry Fernandes (Vice Provincial), Fr Louis Menezes (Vicar), Fr Shane Varghese (2nd Consultor), Fr Andrew Dantis & Fr Rithesh Rosario (Extraordinary consultors).
It was a wonderful time of fellowship, evaluation, discernment, planning and decision-making.
As we look forward to the new quadrennium, we hope to be missionaries of Hope in the footsteps of the Redeemer.
