In our community of Redemptorist Major Seminary in Tuchow, Poland, we had the pleasure of hosting Father Rogerio Gomes CSsR, Superior General of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, who came together with his Vicar, Father Zdzislaw Stanula CSsR, and Father Dariusz Paszyński, Vicar Provincial of the Warsaw Province of the Redemptorists. The guests arrived on the day of the retreat held in our community on Saturday, 17 December 2022.
During the meeting in the morning, Father General addressed us, encouraging us to be perseverant in our vocation. He invited us to take care of spiritual and community life, which are the pillars of the life of a Redemptorist. Finally, he was encouraging us to live the Gospel joyfully on a daily basis. The meeting allowed us to dialogue about the present situation and the future of our Congregation, as well as to express our opinions and ask questions.
Our meeting culminated with the Eucharist in English, presided over by Fr. Rogerio, with a homily that Fr General delivered in Italian. After Mass, we all had lunch, and we could chat with our guests from Rome. It was also an opportunity to extend our best wishes to Fr. Dariusz Paszynski on his forthcoming name day.
We were happy to meet Fathers from the General Government and to hear from them so many words supporting us in our path of following the Most Holy Redeemer.
