Fr General invites all Formadi to meet online

In February 2023, Father General will begin a series of meetings with those in formation throughout the Congregation. The aim of this initiative is to involve the Formandi in the Redemptorist life, to accompany them, to encourage them in their vocational journey and to give them a vision of the Congregation. Formators are also invited to participate. 

  • Meetings will be scheduled considering the time zones of the region and Rome. The final schedule of the meeting will be communicated approximately 15 days in advance.
  • The houses of formation can access the Zoom meeting by the link sent in advance. The formandi can participate as a group by accessing the link and projecting the feed on a bigger screen. Individual access will also be possible. 
  • The access link will be sent to the (Vice) Provincial Superiors and Formators, who will pass it on to the formandi. 
  • The Conferences will create formators’ groups (WhatsApp) to facilitate communication. 
  • Young men doing their experience in a house of the formation may participate with the group of aspirants.

Outline of an online meeting with the formandi:

  1. Opening prayer (prepared by the students),
  2. Video about the Congregation,
  3. Words from Father General,
  4. Questions from the students to the Father General, the Executive Secretary for Formation or the Consultor(s), if present,
  5. Closing prayer.

The calendar below indicates the scheduled dates and languages of the meetings in all five Conferences:

LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN (Spanish, French, Portuguese)- All the Formandi will have online meetings with the Fr General, according to their formation stages, as scheduled:

Aspirants – February 18, 2023;

Postulants – February 25, 2023.

Novices – March 18, 2023;

Juniorates – March 24, 2023.

ASIA and OCEANIA (English) – All the Formandi will have online meetings with the Fr General, according to their formation stages, as scheduled:

Novices – April 11, 2023; 

Aspirants – April 12, 2023; 

Postulants – April 13, 2023.

Professed Students/ theologate  – April 14, 2023.

EUROPE (English, Spanish, Italian) – All the Formandi will have online meetings with the Fr General, according to their formation stages, as scheduled:

Professed Students/ theologate  – May 26, 2023.

Novices – May 27, 2023; 

Aspirants – May 29, 2023; 

Aspirants and Postulants – May 29, 2023.

NORTH AMERICA  (English, Spanish) – All the Formandi will have online meetings with the Fr General, according to their formation stages, as scheduled:

Aspirants and Postulants – June 01, 2023; 

Novices – June 02, 2023; 

Professed Students/ theologate  – June 03, 2023.

AFRICA AND MADAGASCAR (English, French) – All the Formandi will have online meetings with the Fr General, according to their formation stages, as scheduled:

Novices – June 07, 2023; 

Aspirants – June 08, 2023; 

Postulants – Jue 09, 2023.

Professed Students/ theologate  – June 10, 2023.
