Ho Chi Minh City, June 28, 2023 – The Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer in Vietnam concluded three days of vibrant celebrations dedicated to Our Mother of Perpetual Help at the revered Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, located at 38 Ky Dong.
From June 24 to 27th, priests, seminarians, and numerous faithful assembled at the shrine to participate in the Triduum, encompassing a series of religious activities and devotions. The event attracted a large gathering of devotees eager to pay tribute to Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
The Triduum commenced with a heartfelt Novena in honour of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, where priests, religious members, and the Christian community fervently joined in prayer. Each day, Mass was celebrated following the Novena, instilling a sense of spiritual renewal among the participants.
The celebrations revolved around three distinct themes, each conveying a profound message. The first day emphasized the unity of love for all humanity, titled “Mary – Our Mother of Perpetual Help – the unity of love for all humanity.” On the second day, the theme centred on the significance of the family as a symbol of unity in love, aptly named “Mary – Our Mother of Perpetual Help – the family as a sign of unity in love.” Finally, on the third day, the focus shifted to the commitment to serve the Kingdom of Heaven, with the theme “Mary – Our Mother of Perpetual Help – a commitment to serve the Kingdom of Heaven.”
During the concluding ceremonies, Reverend Father Provincial Dom Nguyen Duc Thong expressed his profound gratitude to the faithful who have faithfully supported and accompanied the Redemptorist Province of Vietnam. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to the congregants, acknowledging their unwavering dedication and commitment.
Father Provincial Thong urged the congregation to continue their fervent prayers for the ongoing growth and prosperity of the Redemptorist Province. He emphasized the importance of embracing God’s grace and fearlessly spreading the Good News, following the example set forth by the Savior.
In his closing remarks, Father Provincial Thong invoked the intercession of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, imploring the Almighty God to bestow His abundant graces and blessings upon each present. He specifically invoked the grace to seek solace and guidance from Mother Mary in all aspects of life.
The Triduum celebrations honouring Our Mother of Perpetual Help left an indelible impression on the hearts of the faithful, reinvigorating their faith and reaffirming their commitment to live a life rooted in love, unity, and service to others.
