On Friday, March 1, Monsignor Alfonso Gerardo Miranda Guardiola, auxiliary bishop of Monterrey, ordained a Redemptorist priest in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the centre of Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Juan Alberto Pérez Hernández is the new priest originally from San Luis Potosí, who has been working in Monterrey for a year, attending to the pastoral care of the Churches of Perpetuo Socorro and Dolores, also as a vocational promoter of this region.
Some family members, friends, Redemptorist lay people and of course, important dignitaries of the parish were present. Hundreds of people from all over the world accompanied him through the broadcast on social networks.
Some Redemptorist, diocesan, and Josephine priests concelebrated, among them Fr. Joaquín Frausto, provincial of Mexico, Fr. Kevin Zubel, provincial of Denver, and Fr. Adalberto Alfaro, superior of the community.

Juan Alberto Pérez Hernández :
2013 studied at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí
2015 entered the Redemptorist community of San Luis Potosí
2017 did his pre-novitiate in the community of the Holy Trinity of Mexico City.
2019 he completed the novitiate in Pie de Cuesta in Colombia.
2020 he took his first religious vows
2023 He carries out his pastoral work in the Perpetuo Socorro community in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, where he also professed perpetual vows.
2023 he was ordained deacon in August.
