God continues to bless our Congregation with a new mission foundation: Indonesia. From the Philippines, sisters Nancy Collamat, Cristilyn Visto and Verónica Muaña, Nieves Altagracia de la Cruz (superior of the José María Benito Serra Province) and Belén Albina (provincial treasurer) left on April 2 for the island of Sumba, Indonesia, where they will begin an experience for the new foundation of the Oblate mission, with the support of the Redemptorist Fathers of the Philippines.
The day before, they celebrated the commissioning Mass at the parish of Perpetual Help in Parañaque City, Manila, presided over by Redemptorist Fathers Raymond Urriza, provincial of the Redemptorist Fathers, Allan Eduard Pandaan and Mario Bily Poro.
In the ceremony, the priests blessed them with the grace of God through the imposition of hands and with the medal of the Oblate Crucifix upon the three sisters who will undertake the new mission on the island: Nancy, Verónica and Cristilyn, although the sisters Nieves and Belén accompany them the first days, always supported by the Redemptorist Fathers.
With joy and prayer, we accompany our sisters in taking on this task. We are convinced that God continues to call workers to work in His vineyard, for it is His work, which is why we ask Him to continue to send young people who want to give their lives to the service of God in this mission, as well as lay people and volunteers in this work of helping women victims of the scourge of prostitution and trafficking for sexual exploitation.
