In a series of joyous events held in Chirumhanzu, the Redemptorists of the Region of Zimbabwe and the faithful celebrated the solemn professions of Brother Simbarashe Mashandudze and Brother Ngonidzashe Magaya on the 13th of July. The heartfelt ceremonies marked a significant milestone in their spiritual journeys, as they formally committed themselves to a life dedicated to serving God and His people.
Surrounded by their fellow brothers, family members, and friends, Brother Simbarashe Mashandudze and Brother Ngonidzashe Magaya took their vows with unwavering conviction and devotion, and they were received by the Regional Superior, Fr Kenneth T. Macharaga, CSsR.
Following the solemn professions, a thanksgiving mass was held on the 14th of July to express gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon Brother Simbarashe Mashandudze. The Mashandudze family and the Region came together to celebrate his journey and to offer prayers for his continued growth and spiritual fulfilment.
On the 17th of July, the Region witnessed yet another beautiful expression of dedication as six brothers, Terence, Sylvester, Elvis, Bothwell, Noel and Philip, renewed their vows for one year. This powerful act of renewal symbolizes their ongoing commitment to the values and principles of the Congregation.
In a grand ceremony on the 20th of July, Archbishop Robert C. Ndlovu of the Archdiocese of Harare ordained Br Ngonidzashe Magaya as a deacon and Rev’ds Oscar Madzonganyika and Eric S. Makova as priests. The ordinations marked a significant milestone in their respective spiritual journeys, as they were called to serve and proclaim explicitly the redeeming gospel of Jesus to the most abandoned.
The Redemptorists of the Region of Zimbabwe rejoice in these moments of dedication and spiritual growth. These events serve as a testimony to the unwavering commitment of its members and their relentless pursuit of the religious calling.
