From Friday, 2nd August until Saturday, the 3rd August 2024, Fr Brendan O’Rourke C.Ss.R, Provincial of the Dublin Province, Fr Richard Reid C.Ss.R, Provincial of the London Province, Fr Jan Hafmans C.Ss.R, Provincial of the Province of St Clement, Fr Martin Leitgöb C.Ss.R, Provincial of the Province of Vienna-Munich, Fr Ciaran O’Callaghan C.Ss.R, Chairperson of the Implementation Group and Eric Corsius, Secretary of the Implementation Group, met in St Joseph’s Monastery Dundalk, Ireland, to review and discuss the Draft of a Federation agreement between the Provinces of London, Dublin, St. Clement and Vienna-Munich.
The focus of this draft agreement was: As the Congregation has faced change in our world, the question has been asked, ‘How do we continue to serve our mission today?’
The Implementation Group then formed a draft agreement of this Federation in November 2023, sent the Draft to the provinces, and invited them to reflect on the agreement.
This meeting aimed to consider the questions and comments made by the members of the provinces and move towards a final draft for the Federation, which will require the approval of both of the four Provinces and, ultimately, the General Government.
The Federation of Redemptorists in North-West Europe begins on 1st August 2025.
