The Province of Our Lady of Aparecida held, between the 6th and 8th of September, at the Saint Alphonsus Seminary in Aparecida/SP, the XXV Meeting of the São Paulo Regional Collaborators, with the presence of 230 professionals. The event of the São Paulo Region, featured moments of training, prayer and fellowship, in Aparecida/SP
The event included moments of training, prayer and fellowship, beginning with a Holy Mass at the National Shrine of Aparecida . On the second day, the collaborators were welcomed with a moment of prayer in the chapel of the Saint Alphonsus Seminary, and then participated in a training session on the theme of the 2024 Fraternity Campaign, “Fraternity and Social Friendship,” with a lecture given by theology professor, Sérgio Ribaric.
“We presented a reflection on the theme from the point of view of love, of the encounter with the human being and of the community with Christ. It was a very productive work because we are seeing aspects of our living Christology, of our daily practice in the community, to create precisely a society that can become fraternal, friendly and joyful, seeking the hope of total happiness, not from obedience to laws, but from groups that bring love to others.”
As members of the Province of Our Lady of Aparecida, the collaborators of the nine CAS (Social Assistance Centers) were responsible for conducting the “Friendship Festival,” with team presentations on social friendship inserted in the living spaces of the Redemptorist Social Works.
The meeting is eagerly awaited by employees, who dedicate themselves to rehearsing to demonstrate the work carried out in the units, in addition to being a moment of integration between the teams.
“I have been in the coordination for three months, and my experience working with the Redemptorist family has been rewarding and a great learning experience. More than just a worker, I truly feel like a member of this family of Missionaries,” said the coordinator of CAS Pedro Donders, from Miracatu/SP, Marivone Miranda.
“Look at the past with gratitude, look at the present with joy and look at the future with hope”
To conclude, the collaborators participated in a Holy Mass presided over by Father Marlos Aurélio, C.Ss.R., Provincial Superior, who highlighted the 130th anniversary of the arrival of the Bavarian Missionaries in Aparecida:
“We are here to thank you who help in the Redemptorist mission, working in different sectors, and to say that you are important to us, without you we would not carry out our mission, because together we form this great Redemptorist family of the São Paulo Region,” thanked the Provincial Superior.
