On October 8, 2024, a momentous occasion took place at the University Chapel of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Baclaran and UPHSD. The MOU, signed by Redemptorist Fathers and university officials, represents a significant partnership aimed at fostering deeper collaboration between the two institutions towards the propagation of the Icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help and nurturing the devotion-mission spirituality among the 16,000 students and nearly 3,000 employees of the university, including faculty, staff, and administration.

UPHSD School Director Dr. Arnaldo S. De Guzman and Director for Planning, Linkages, ETEEAP, and CPD Dr. Gabriel Archemedez Y. Flores were present during the ceremony. The MOU underscores a mutual commitment to promoting devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help, enhancing values formation, and working together on projects for marginalized communities.

The agreement outlines various areas of cooperation, including joint research, seminars, teacher and staff training, community service immersion, and the establishment of an Our Mother of Perpetual Help Confraternity. Both parties aim to create empowering projects, focusing on upholding Catholic teachings and serving those in need.

Rev. Fr. Raymond Urriza, C.Ss.R, Vice-Provincial Superior of the Redemptorists Vice-Province of Manila, Rev. Fr.
