Meeting of the Delegates of the Redemptorist Youth Vocational Ministry (RYVM) Venezuela – We have begun a new journey together in the RYVM Venezuela. Guided by the Spirit, the delegations of Caracas, Valencia, Falcón, and Barquisimeto, accompanied by Fr. Ali Villegas, ordinary councilor, Fr. Claudio Molina, of the pastoral secretariat and JJ. Jhonny Vargas and Reilander Aldana, responsible for the RYVM in Venezuela, are opening up to the different realities and are establishing a road map. In this process, we have strengthened our bonds of fraternity and collaboration, recognizing the importance of listening and learning from the experiences of each delegation.
We are in a moment of transformation, where every step we take is driven by a desire to build a more united and committed community of service and love for others.
It was an enriching space, after a moment of prayer and the entrustment of this experience into the hands of God, we began by observing how the groups are doing, their strengths and weaknesses, reflecting on the current youth challenges and how to mark some key ideas to work on the process that we want to carry forward in the reality of our country. Each delegation, after discussing with their groups a previous work material, gave their contribution, thus strengthening the common work.
Guided by the formation of Fr. Claudio on synodality and the role of young people today, we have been enlightened to be at the forefront of the responsibilities proposed by the Church today. Without a doubt, good formation is the key to visualizing the formative itinerary that we want in youth ministry. For this reason, an approach has been made to this formative path that will have three stages, each with a specific time and a sign that identifies it.
Next, it was time to plan the national meeting of RYVM Venezuela 2025, which will have a special meaning because of the centenary of the Redemptorist Missionaries in Venezuela (1925 – 2025). In addition, the agenda was organized with various national and parish activities. Everyone’s voice was heard, and moments of spiritual and personal growth were created.
Eager to live these special moments for the Redemptorist Congregation in Venezuela and united to the jubilee of hope, we ask God to continue guiding the work of all young missionaries, as the present and future of the Church. May Mary Most Holy, Immaculate Conception, be an example of following and listening to the Word for the people who are part of our pastoral care, and, with the intercession of Saint Alphonsus, we can develop everything we have proposed.
