(Rome, Italy) The Redemptorist Spirituality Course for the English speaking people began in Rome on 11th July, 2016. The course is arranged at different venues as a pilgrimage, so that the participants may get a real feel of the historical events that shaped the life and ministry of the Congregation.
The course was inaugurated on 11th, Monday, with a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Juventius Andrade, CSsR, the general consultor of the Congregation. Fr. Anrdreja Wodka, CSsR, the president of the Alphonsian academy, spoke to the participants about the Redemption in the afternoon. The day’s programme concluded with an input session by Fr. Sabatino Majorano, CSsR on ‘The path of the primitive rules.’ Fr. Piotr Chyla, CSsR, the Director of the Redemptorist Spiritualiy, and Fr. George Puthenpura, CSsR, will be animating the group of participants all through the course.
The first three days of the course will be conducted in Rome, in the Redemptorist Generalate. Later the participants will visit the historical places like Sant’Agata, Materdomini, Muro, Deliceto, Scala, Ciorani, Marianella, Naples, Pagani and Pompei. There are 32 participants from different units of the Congregation. The course will conclude on 31st July as the participants come back to Rome.
