(Porto Alegre, Brazil) The meeting of the Redemptorist Major Superiors of Brazil (URB) took place on 20 and 21 March. The event was held in Porto Alegre (RS), in the Provincial House, and coordinated by Fr. Edézio, president of the Union of Redemptorists of Brazil.
All superiors were present, except Fr. Inácio de Medeiros, Provincial of São Paulo, who was represented by Fr. Fabio Evaristo. The others who were present: Rio de Janeiro: Fr. Américo; Goiás: Fr. Robson; Campo Grande: Fr. Edilei; Porto Alegre: Fr. Edézio; Bahia: Fr. Roque; Fortaleza: Fr. Domingos; Recife: Fr. Geraldo Freire; Manaus: Fr. Ronaldo.
In addition to the sharing of experiences, there were moments of prayer and leisure and various subjects were dealt during the meeting such as the extraordinary visits of the Provincial Government, the work and journey of JUMIRE, the Missionary Congress, the formation of future Redemptorists, Lay Missionaries , Meetings in Latin America and the Caribbean, Mission in Lisbon, Mission in Suriname, Communicanda of the General Government, Shrines and devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, communication and the Meeting of the Redemptorist Family, etc .
The next meeting of the group will be in July, in Belo Horizonte (MG), in the Retreat House of São José, with the presence of the Superior General, Fr. Michael Brehl.
